Krell KAV-2250 Stereo Power Amplifier, 250wpc at 8Ohm. Lightly used in a non-smoking household. Purchased used on Audiogon in 2007. Amplifier is in good working order. Cosmetically, the LED light on front ring is half out and there are some scuffs on the chassis (see pictures). Rated conservatively at 7/10. Comes with original box, manual, and power cable. KAV-2250 Two-Channel amplifier is powered by a massive 2kVA toroidal-transformer supply, delivering power output of 250 Watts per channel into 8 ohms (500 Watts per channel into 4 ohms). Adjacent channels can be bridged to deliver 1000 Watts into 8 ohms.
As with the Theater Amplifier Standard, the gain stages use Krell Current Mode,™ discrete Class A, fully complementary circuitry. The driver/output stages employ 14 high-current transistors per channel for high output current capability. This design delivers the clean, powerful, detailed reproduction that is the hallmark of Krell amplifiers.
Includes the Krell Multi Amp Throughput™ (MAT) feature, which feeds the signal from a single input—balanced or single-ended—to any or all channels. This simplifies wiring requirements in multi-amplified systems.
