KRELL KAV-300i LIKE NEW (PROFESSIONALLY RESTORED! REDUCED!

Here is an opportunity to own the Legendary giant killer from the genius mind of Dan D’Agostino! This one is pretty much in mint condition but it also has been beautifully upgraded throughout by Avatar Engineering (July 2023)  a  $700 service! The upgrades include a 20% increase in capacitance In the power supply, using all audiophile components including film by-pass capacitors and ultra fast soft recovery rectifiers, all other electrolytic caps were replaced with much higher quality and better sounding Panasonic FC, Nichicon Muse and Elna Silmic audio grade units throughout the amp. Key resistors in both high temperature and signal path were replaced with Mepco and Shinkoh precision resistors ( huge improvement in the treble and soundstage). Main board driver Transistors were replaced with higher voltage /amperage MJE15032/33 along with higher wattage adjoining new mil-spec zener diodes, (much cooler running and quieter ). The Mylar input caps were also replaced with Polystyrene Film and foil audio grade capacitors. I didn’t think you could improve the sound of a Krell but I was dead wrong! This amp can honestly compete with any integrated amp and for that matter most of the Elite separates hands down! New replacement Redi Remote control is included.
