Questions for the seller
I have owned these amps before, excellent amps! Tremendous bass, just very well made and designed.
Have to agree...tremendous is a great word to describe the bass. Will keep if I can't get at least 600 for this
There is no preamp. The R-117 is a stereo receiver with a preamp section, amp section, and tuner section built in. The stand alone preamp version is the TP-117 which paired up with the M-117 amplifier. Bill
I think we are on the same page...you're saying the tp-117 is the same era/gen...correct?
My biggest regret in audio is selling my mint R-117 about 4 years ago. Nothing I have owned before or after has captured the all the best attributes like bass drive, sweet velvety midrange, and detailed highs that these Luxmans have in spades. This is one special piece of gear. Bill
Now i'm thinking i should hold onto it...anyone know where to find the preamp that goes with this?
