Marantz MA-9S2 Pair - Gorgeous/Powerful

Doing a mild downsize of my combo theater/music system and after going back and forth one what to keep and what to sell I decided on keeping a pair of the Krell monos for my mains. I had been using the Marantz on the top of the Salons with the Krell on the bottom to bi-amp. Neither amp has anything I would call a weakness but each has areas of relative strength. Ultimately it was that that the black Krells match my other gear better and their form made them a bit easier to place that decided it. Purchased from Audioclassics when they got a batch directly Marantz that were cosmetic B-Stock. No mechanical issues but couldn't be sold as new because of the minor issues (see pictures). Rated at 300 into 8, 600 into 4 with peak current exceeding 150 amps per channel. Audioclassics benched each amp before packing them to ship and got over 440 watts into 8 ohms with less than .1% distortion. Never been pushed hard. Never felt them get more than what felt to be a few degrees over room temp. Even though these were the victims of bad timing with Marantz deciding to get back into the high end game right when the economy was tanking .... there are a number of reviews out there if you google the model. Many considered them competitive in the 'cost no object' category. Amps weight a bit over 80lbs a side and I only have one original box so local pickup with the opportunity for a full demo would be great preferred. I am willing to ship if needed though so feel free to hit me up for a quote. Much more receptive to offers if the deal can be done local with cash payment. I have higher resolution pictures but haven't listed here in a while and not sure if they allow the necessary communication to offer to send so sorry for the blast from the past size limits agon has on pictures. These are in fantastic shape and higher resolution does nothing but make them look better.
