The Marchand XM-44 is the currently the only analog active crossover that allows user defined orders and slopes (Q) to simulate closely the OEM crossover. Changes are made with insertable modules. Currently the unit is set up for a Magnepan IIIa with customed designed modules. I will also include the following module: 300 Hz 3rd order LP, 500 Hz 2nd order HP, L-R LP & HP at 400 Hz, and L-R LP & HP at 340 Hz. Modules cost $15 from Marchand so this is a $180 value. Modules can be easily modified with simple soldering skills. Gain in each channel can be adjusted from -6 to +5db in 1db steps allowing dissimilar amplifiers to be matched. This unit has BALANCED and UNBALANCED inputs and outputs.
