TLC-1 Deluxe Edition, or Transparent Line Control, is a highly regarded preamp. Although it isn't actually a preamp in the sense that it has no gain stage. It has two modes, passive and buffered. If you use the buffered mode to even out impedance issues (perhaps with longer line level cable runs), it still yields an amazingly transparent sound. But don't take my word for it; there are plenty of reviews.
This preamp is not for you if you run low power amps, without having particularly high efficiency speakers.
This unit is in excellent condition. I originally thought it was a 9, but there are some small scratches on the power supply. Yes, the power supply is a different color. No, I don't know why they made it that way.
