Conservatively rated 8/10, might be a 9/10. * 350w/ch, or 700w mono * Double Balanced push-pull design - a.k.a. quad balanced * Autoformers * Power assurance system. * The appearance design of this amp is killer, plus the aluminum sides match other McIntosh hardware perfectly, unlike for example MC452 with the giant handles or MC252 with the wider unusual aluminum sides and the stick-out middle piece. MC252 has those tiny power meters too. So does MC402 for that matter. Not the MC352, huge glorious meters with a lovely clean face. I know, it's not a key consideration, but it's nice that this amp goes so well with so much McIntosh hardware appearance uniformity wise. *Unit has just been serviced & tested by a local McIntosh employee. Has brand new glass front, bulbs and switches.
