Nakamichi PA Series Power Amplifiers
These Nakamichi PA Series Power Amplifiers are as musical now as they were in 1987. Designed by the famous audio engineer Nelson Pass, they incorporate Stasis technology, allowing them to react to the changing, real-world electrical values of your loudspeakers. They’ve also got ‘80s swagger to match, with looks inspired by Nakamichi Dragon Cassete Decks and sports cars like the Lamborghini Countach.
All our Nakamichi Amps have been cleaned (inside and out), inspected, tested and refurbished as necessary. They come with a 1 year Parts and Labour pcX warranty.
Stasis Circuit
Nakamichi Power Amplifiers are designed to drive “real-world” speakers – not just the load resistors used on the test bench. In real speakers, the impedance changes with frequency and the reactance keeps current and voltage out of phase with each other. The Stasis circuit in Nakamichi Power Amps are designed to adapt to the changing electrical characteristics of your speakers to give you musical, transparent sound.
Tremendous Current Reserves
High-power toroidal transformers, independent high-current rectifiers for each channel (PA-7 only), and huge filter capacitors provide a tremendous amount of reserve current. It’s all delivered to the speakers via high-power output transistors, creating a wide “safe operating area” designed to handle the reactive loads in your loudspeakers.
