Here for sale is an Ayre K-5xe MP Preamplifier.
Second owner and pretty much one of the very best solid state preamp out there. I had the Hovlands, Calypso SE, CAT, Spectral’s, ARC Ref 5, Klyne….. and so much more to name a few and all had their special qualities but this was the most neutral, smooth and detailed unit ever and full gain beyond ones imagination. Built above its limit and a wonderfully balanced performer and stunning looks.
Too boot, here is one that is in the premium black finish (extra cost) with the upgraded all metal remote handset (extra cost). Works perfectly and cosmetically flawless. Still a class A Stereophile recommended preamplifier.
