Ray Samuels Audio Dark Star

Bar none the best SS amp I've heard for high-powered headphones. Dead black background, amazing attack, imaging and creamy mids when called for. Really it has no weaknesses except for the fact that it only works with high impedance/magnetic planar headphones. It's very hard for me to sell this because even at the recent SF meet I did not hear any SS amps that could match it's performance. But alas, I'm taking a break from Mag planars for a while and going in a different direction with headphones for a bit.

If you got headphones of 150ohms or above or power hungry planars, this is definitely a contender for an end-game amp as it has been mine for years.

You may notice a slight oxidization on the input selector in the photos, and being OCD, I have a brand new replacement knob for it in hand that I will include before shipping out.

Also, this unit does NOT come with a power cable retail and I'm including my excellent Pangea power chord for it ($150 value).
