Yamaha B-2 V-Fet Amplifier

Up for your consideration is an EXTREMELY rare 1976 Yamaha B-2 VFET Amp!  This thing sounds awesome.  Go over to the vintage knob to read up on its history and stats.  This amp has a sweet and detailed sound that brings an effortless quality to the speakers it drives. Extremely fun and involving.  This amp is in Extremely Good Condition!

VFETS are extremely rare and basically unobtainable.  The idea here is a solid state amp with the characteristics of tubes but without the inherent drawbacks to tubes.  Just read up on Pass Labs and Nelson Pass to know what this engineering auteur thinks about VFETS. Pass Labs may be the only company selling VFET amps in this day and age, and the prices speak for themselves.      

Originally Priced in 1976 at $1840! (converted from Yen).  Adjusted to inflation thats $7700. Now you know why Nelson Pass bought up all the remaining VFETS.  These things were rare then, and now no longer possible to find (the VFETS).  

I have the manual, and will also include the Step up transformer from the Japanese 100Volts to US 120Volts.   Please ask any additional questions necessary.  The step up works great and hasn't posed any issues.  The amp sounds wonderful.  

This Amp was restored and checked for health by the previous owner.  New binding posts for 1 of the 2 stereo speaker outputs allows for modern day banana plugs and spades to easily be connected.
