Sony Playstaion PS1 SCPH-1001 Modified

Sony's original Playstation (model scph-1001) is well known for being a killer budget CDP, particularly if modified. Better than the stock unit in just about every way and competes with cd players in a much higher price bracket.

This particular unit features a modified output section with Wima capacitors, 24awg solid core UPOCC silver wire soldered with Cardas Quad silver solder.

The power supply has been upgraded with low ESR Panasonic FM series capacitors.

The transport/laser assembly has been replaced and calibrated with a BRAND NEW KSM440-BAM, known for being more reliable able to play a wider variety of CDR/burned discs than the stock unit.

Also includes the original Sony remote control from the ps2, which allows you to control all the basic CDP functions including fast forward and fast reverse.

Overall the unit is in very nice condition with a slight mark on center of the lid and a small mark on the back side of the lid on the right side(shown in photo). Neither are terribly noticeable as you can see.
