Sony SCD-C555es w/SACDmods Statement mods. This is a killer CD changer for small $

SACDmods.com was run by a guy named Matthew Anker who did amazing things to Sony CD players. And then he made the move to become a US Navy pilot in 2010.

This Sony SCD-C-555ES has gone through Matt's statement modifications at a cost of $662 in 8/23/04. Matt also sent it to United Audio for a new laser at a cost of $317. I will include both receipts to the new owner. Also included is the original Sony manual as well as the instruction sheet from SACDmods, regarding the work done by Matt. Also included is the Sony remote. Sorry, I don't have the original box, but I'll pack this to survive a Fedex vs. UPS BoxSoccer game.

I bought this from the person who had the mods done. I've used it for 5 years, but I just don't play many cds these days, and I have 4 other (lessor) cd players. This 555ES has never missed a beat during my ownership.

For some reason, and I'm sure it has nothing to do with the new, vastly improved, feature-laden Audiogon, some buyers have had difficulty sending me messages through the new, vastly improved, feature-laden Audiogon system.
