Quad ESL-63 Electrostatic Speakers w/ Custom Solid Oak Stand

Quad ESL-63 Electrostatic Speakers, Original Owner (purchased 1985 made in England). Sequential serial numbers, A/C, smoke free home, excellent cosmetic (there are some small nicks and imperfections, see photos) and mechanical condition (when plugged in with NO source; quiet; when playing; no buzzing, rattles or arcs). They were in a small listening room and mostly played at a moderate level and for the last 20 years not that often. They are all original except that the speaker inputs were changed to 5 way binding posts and the tape on the grills has been replaced. Professionally built one of a kind custom solid oak stands significantly improve mechanical integrity and performance. The stands place the center of the speaker at ear level when sitting down, and have provisions to use spikes to couple to the floor(spikes not included). These speakers have a sound like no other, they are incredibly detailed and engaging. You will have to look long and hard to find another pair in this nice of a condition. I really hate to part with them go but I am downsizing and no longer have space for them. The speakers with stands weigh about 80 lbs each so, NO Shipping, Local pick up only!
