I am currently building custom Amp stands, these are made 1 at a time in my small shop in the mountains of Pickens county S.C. just down the road from AudioGon in Greenville S.C.these stands are made out of Walnut and feet are hand turned 1 at a time by me in Maple. Wood is a better isolator the steel and will not mark up your floors. i also build custom racks please check my other items for sale. i can build out of maple for a lower price.  maple amp stands with 3 feet will be $275.00 each and 4 feet will be $300.00, the maple ones on my stand in the pictures are of prototype and are not for sale. the ones you will get will be finished in shellac as a sealer then 3 or 4 coats of lacquer, they will be beautiful as the pictures show. ( the ones in the pictures are sold) before ordering message me and give me the size of your amp and the wood you would like. I also build custom turntables if you want something different we can talk, The price listed is for 1 (one) Amp stand thanks for looking at my stuff, Mike

Questions for the seller
These are lovely and reasonably priced. I'm wondering, though, about brass vs. wood feet. I thought brass was better at "funneling" vibrations.
Hi thanks for interest in my products. sorry it took so long to get back to you i went to Ma. to deliver a rack and just got back last night. I have brass feet on my turntable that you can see in my pictures, i built this table using a thorens td126, i have made feet out of maple for it, and the sound improvement was substantial, I sold the feet that i had on it, i put them on a amp stand that i made you can also see it in the pictures with that BAT amp. as soon as i have time they will be replaced back to the maple ones and the brass feet will be for sale. the brass feet i have performed up to my expectations, and maybe even more. i have been playing around with the maple feet for some time, taking them off back on, over and over again. in my opinion the wood feet perform better. metal even brass changes the way your stereo sounds, thats why most string instruments are made out of wood, the difference in sound between a acoustic guitar and a steel guitar, then there is that famous violin that they took the wood from the most dense part of the tree, they did it for a reason. so why is all the stand companys using metal, its easy cost, the price of all hardwood is sky rocketing, and at times can be hard to get, so the rack co. market the metal as a superior product to get you to buy there products. i mean there are racks out there costing $20,000. plus dollars really? the stand i just delivered to the gentleman is putting a walker turntable and other things on it, so if wood is so expensive how can i sell it so reasonable? i have no website the only advertising i do is on audiogon, and i have no employees, and a very modest shop good tools but far from what a production would have. i do have some help from my son. again this whole thing is just my opinion, but have been doing the stereo and woodworking thing all my life, and there was a time not to long ago you would NEVER use metal around near or on you stereo period. ask any old stereophile. also not all wood is the same maple hands down is the best. let me know if i can help, Mike
Can you make me some custom walnut shelves for my four piece DCS Scarlatti system - I am coning to SC for Xmas so could ship you a template and funds upfront to purchase the wood? let me know and thanks for considering this custom job - regards iabanc
Hey Iabanc, thanks so much for giving me the chance to help you with your audio stand needs i would be happy to build you a stand, ill email you with more detail, Thanks Mike
I’m looking for wood bases for a set of Vivid V1.5 speakers...could u do that?....if u type in my speakers you can see them.... thanks Brett
i could do just about anything you need. very interesting speakers, read some pretty good reviews on them, would love to hear them. anyway would you want a base like the amp stand in the picture? if so would you want the feet ? i just sent 2 slabs of maple to California today, the guy just wanted to get his speakers off the carpet. or do you want the shape of the speaker base?, that would be kinda hard with out the speaker to go off of. thank you for the interest in my products, i will do the best i can to make what you need. let me know , Mike
