OK so if you have been looking for a practically mint condition, very low usage Nakamichi CR7A with the often missing remotes (the remote sells routinely for $200 by itself!) then you have just found one.

You rarely see them for sale in this condition period, let alone with the remote.

The reason why I am selling this unit is to raise funds for a divorce settlement, there will be many other high quality audiophile items being listed soon. Anyway, my loss is your gain.

Look carefully at all of the pictures, I tried to get as much detail as I could, but photographing black audio equipment is challenging. The pictures don't do it justice I can assure you of that. There are 2 little pinhead marks on the top of the face (highlighted with little green circles in one of the pictures) and there is a scuff mark about 1/2" long at the rear of the cover. Both of these are not very noticeable but the camera brings them out more than they really are. The picture showing the 2 pinhead marks (which have not been touched up at all) shows a bunch of other little white marks, that is nothing but tiny dust particles that the camera picked up. This unit belonged to a dentist who rarely used it, it sat in a stereo stand that had a closed glass door.

I doubt it even has 50 hours of use.

Look at the RCA connectors on the back, I believe this unit was hooked up one time only by the original owner, then only a few more times since I acquired it. The only thing it needed was a new idler tire, and that was replaced and it works great. I actually prefer the idler tire over the gear driven (mod) units as it is quieter in operation, the downside is that every 5-10 years (sometimes longer) or so you need to replace the idler, but you won't need to worry about that for years.

The Automatic Calibration feature is absolutely splendid, you simply put in your choice of tape, press the Auto Calibration button, and the deck does it's thing. Once it is completed it will rewind back to where it started and then goes into Record/Pause mode, waiting for you to press the Play button to start recording.

The recorded tape sounds just like the source, amazing! Many people claimed this was the real Dragon killer. I have never owned a Dragon so I can't say whether those claims are true, but I can say that this unit delivers amazing quality sound. You won't be disappointed.

The manual is a professionally reprinted one, as the original manual was lost by the original owner. I am also including 6 brand new, still sealed High Bias cassettes to get you started. 3 TDK SA-100 and 3 Maxell XLII 60 minute tapes.

I do not have the original box but it will be very well packed for safe delivery.
