Teac X-2000M Reel to Reel 1/4" Tape Deck Recorder

Offered for sale in excellent working condition - Serial # 870039-882. I am the second owner having purchased the machine from a fellow Audiogon member several years back. The original owner had the unit fully serviced and upon receipt of it I found it to be in 100% working order. My usage of the machine has amounted to less than 20 hours as I never took the time and patience to record my record collection as originally intended. All functions work as they should including all knobs and switches as well as all of the lights and the tape speeds. The machine has been thoroughly covered and stored for the past few years.

Included in the sale (as pictured): Two stock hubs; one original and one brand new. Both DarkLab JCorder Hubs as pictured on the unit, two professionally powder coated 10 1/2" Reels - one filled with used tape, 1 standard 10 1/2" reel (empty), Three 7" plastic reels filled with unused tape, 1 spare belt, 1 set of Teac base feet (in addition to those shown mounted on the deck), 1 original Teac demagnetizer, the original wire connected remote control unit, the service manual with all of the schematic diagrams and three partially consumed Teac Maintenance (Bottled) Fluids - Stainless Polish, Head Cleaner & Rubber Cleaner.

I am rating the machine at the 7/10 level due to compression caused damage on the bottom of the unit where the feet attach to the unit......see photo 004 (not visible when standing upright). Were it not for these two imperfections I would confidently rate the machine at the 8/10 level as it is otherwise in excellent cosmetic condition and, as previously stated, it's functional condition is at the 100% level.

I do not have the original box. Local pick up would be ideal however as with all of my previous Audiogon selling efforts, shipping to a destination is a "real world" probability. Sale of the unit will be to the USA only. Use of PayPal will require an additional 2.9% of the total sale price. Use of a credit card will require an additional 2.7% of the total sale price. Shipping cost will be the responsibility of the buyer and shipping insurance will be a must condition of final sale, the cost of which (the shipping insurance) will be a 50/50 split between a buyer and myself. Due to the lack of original packaging I have purchased a new, adequately sized shipping carton that will have a double wall side, top and bottom insert. Adequate foam inserts have also been purchased to securely cushion the unit during transit. All items other than the deck itself will ship in a separate box and the shipping cost will be the buyers responsibility also.
