These speakers are beautiful looking and beautiful sounding! They have tremendous bass which is flat to 20 or 22 Hz, and so long as your room is not enormous, and you do not want to listen at ear splitting levels, you will really be surprised how these sound and fill the room with music. They sound open, detailed, with deep, deep bass. Another website, which is the largest used audio dealer in the world, (MSS HiFi) list these identical model speakers at $995, and say that they are without a doubt the best buy for speakers under a thousand dollars. These are in premium Brazilian Rosewood, an extra cost options. I have not listened to as many speakers as MSS HiFi, but I am not asking $995 either. These will go to the first person who wants to pick them up in Houston for $650.
These speakers are made with a rare Brazilian Rosewood veneer, which Thiel had to end making speakers with, because of its scarcity. They image great, and are great for music and movies without a sub. They are in beautiful condition, one small scratch which looks like wood grain really, near the bottom on the side toward the back which is in picture 2, and one small hole in the grill, less than the size of a pencil which cannot be seen when listening, and because of the dark grill is really hard to see. The faceplate of the equalizer also looks perfect. These speakers prove that the newest stuff is not always the best. Great WAF, I am the original owner, and am upgrading to speakers that will cost me well over 10 times as much.
