Thorens TD-124 Mk1 / SME-3009/ Shindo Plinth

This is a truly peace-of-mind turntable for your lifetime. The TD-124 Mach1 itself is fully serviced and was restored 12 months ago. Runs absolutely smooth, stable and noiseless. The SME-3009 Serie One tonearm was restored by Robert Graetke at analogtubeaudio.com.
The inner tonearmcable was switched by Robert to his excellent silver one as well as the RCA Socket Kit was built under the unit (please monitor Robert´s website). All the original parts are still available and are part of the deal. They could be easily switched back (but you don´t want that ; ) The plinth was built by Norbert Gütte http://www.lignolab.com/en/products/zargen/ and is 1350 Euro alone. Mr. Gütte does all the joiner-work for Keith Aschenbrenner / Auditorium 23 as well as building wonderful cabinets for vintage speakers. I tried quite a lot of different plinths with this TD-124, several woods like oak, cherry, birch, spruce. In none of the plinths the Thorens was sounding as amazing as in the Lignolab, this one really raises the TD-124 in a higher range. All together this turntable is flawless, without scratches, spots or anything. You won´t be dissapointed by the sound and look this unit delivers. A system is not included, but let me tell you this: I drove different systems in it, for my taste the Denon DL 103 is an awesome partner - and a cheap thrill. You really don´t have to use expensive SME to get the music out of your records. Please keep in mind that I need to pack two parcels for shipping, so the costs will be a bit higher.
