I am the original owner of this fantastic Thorens 125 Mk II turntable upgraded with high-end Sumiko Premier MMT-2 Improved Tonearm. Also includes a Grado Reference Platinum cartridge. The Thorens uses a solid-state electronic motor drive system for stable speed. Comes with a built-in stroboscope and +/- 2% vernier speed control. It came originally with a Thorens tonearm, however, over the years I felt the tonearm was limiting performance so I had it professionally replaced with the Premier MMT-2 tone arm (around $300 when new) which is really outstanding and makes the system sing. The tone arm has its own cuing lever that takes over the function of the right-most control on the turntable. The turntable and dust cover have a few scratches but are in nice shape considering the 30+ year old age. The cartridge has fairly low hours but is at least 10 years old. I haven't been using this gear for the past 9 or so years but it has been stored in my home in a benign environment. It works fine but I'm selling it as-is because of age. Comes with custom TX-44 dust cover (not hinged, it lifts off, shipped separately) and the Grado cartridge, plus an Audioquest Sorbotane turntable mat. Will be shipped in original box with manual.

hi no pictures? Thanks for telling me. They were included when I posted the listing. Another Audiogon site problem. I hope they show up now. |
