To my tastes, they are the best sounding commercial speakers that I have ever heard. For calibration’s sake, I’ve listened to various designs up to about $15,000. The more expensive ones may have more bass but I just like the way that these sound better. Smooth yet detailed and musical (if I dare try to describe a speaker in words).

I’m selling these because I got into the hobby of DIY speaker design and building. So the house is filling up with speakers and I just don’t use these Totems any more. To be honest, I now have some speakers that I prefer to these Totems, visible on one of the photos. But that's a DIY design, not commercially available. I still prefer these Totems over anything commercial that I’ve been able to find.

Price is $2,000 firm plus actual cost of insured shipping. I'm not sure what shipping will cost but I seem to recall it being something like $165 for the two boxes, including insurance. That was a few years ago and I might not remember it correctly, so don't quote me on that. Just a rough guess.

The speakers are in perfect shape as far as I can tell. These are the cherry finish. They come with the “claws” (seen in the photos).

I got the speakers used in about October 2005. I think that the guy before me bought them new and sold them to me after about 1.5-2 years. On my end, I have not used them at all in the last 3.5 years (once my DIY speakers were complete). I’ve had them disconnected and covered up. A month ago I pulled them out, hooked them up, and played them for an hour or so. Everything sounded great.

Feel free to drop me a line with any questions. I can email higher resolution versions of the photos. Thanks for taking a look.
