Esoteric P-70 modded

I am selling my wonderful Esoteric P-70 transport that has been modified with the full Reference Audio modded Ultra-Link III clock and power supply. The P-70 just came back from service and had the spindle drive replaced, was cleaned and had the contacts in the remote overhauled. All working perfectly and is rated 8 only because of age.

Mark Mickelson concluded his 2003 review of the P-70/D-70 combo by saying: "If you are lucky enough to spend some time with the Esoteric P-70 and D-70, you will be impressed. These ne plus ultra audio components were obviously designed without compromise, and their sound proves this as readily as their design brief does. They offer stunning retrieval of detail, grand dynamic contrasts, edge-of-the-art bass, and the sort of silent background for which only the best power conditioners get credit. As for their price, keep in mind that the D-70 allows you to ditch your preamp, which may save you the cost of both DAC and transport given the prices of the very best preamps on the market today. There is also, I suspect, a high level of pride that comes with owning the P-70 and D-70 -- they might represent the last attempt, and the best attempt, at building the ultimate CD player.

Anyone interested in also purchasing my Audio Logic 24 MXL DAC, please let me know. I bought the Audio Logic directly from Jerry Osment and had it also modified by RAM complement the P-70. The Audio Logic bypasses the tube output stage, but that can easily be converted back. I have connected both units with a Stealth Sextet interconnect, which I will also sell if you are interested. I will not sell the Audio Logic by itself.
