I have for sale (8) eight Audio Research tested 6dj8, Ecc-88, 6922 (new old stock) vacuum tubes. The tubes are labeled Audio Research by Golden Dragon and were tested for transconductance by ARC and have the black ARC "tested" label under the tubes. These tubes will work great in non-audio research equipment too. I'm selling a total of 8 tubes for my listed price. If you only need 6 or 4 tubes email me. These are very high quality precision audio tubes that were designed specifically for audio reproduction by a British team of engineers with vast experience in audio tube design. Audio Research used these tubes in their products in the late 1980’s and into the mid 1990’s. The tubes were produced for Audio Research by Golden Dragon under strict guidelines. The 6dj8 is the American version of the tube, the Ecc-88 is the European version and the 6922 is the Russian version of the same tube. All three tube types are inter-changeable.
Stereophile magazine gave these tubes a great review in the June 1991 issue volume 14 #6. Some of the other high end audio companies that used these tubes were VAC (Valve amplification company), Mcintosh, Sonic Frontiers and ultra high end company Audio Note.
These tubes are part of a 100 factory tray lot and have never been used. . All the tubes test over 100 GM for transconductance for both section on my reference quality Amplitrex tube tester.I also listened to the tubes through my tester and did not notice any unusual noise. In addition, the tubes have a black dot on the bottom of the glass which means the tubes were tested for transconductance by Audio Research and they passed all tests. The tubes will come in white tube boxes as seen in the pictures. The tubes are NOS tubes and have never been used, the lettering is in excellent condition, and the tube pins are nickel plated.
