This is a factory 5 SE....NOT an upgrade. Purchase 12/15 new from authorized dealer and registered, 894 hours on unit. ARC says it takes 650 hours for unit to break in. Main unit excellent condition with faceplate having 2 small scratches on top edge. If it were not for the scratches I would rate this a 9-10. Does not show in photo. Top plastic ventilated cover has slight bubble from heat of 6550 power tube. I have been told this is common. HOWEVER this unit comes with a NEW ARC faceplate and metal cover purchased from ARC. Unit comes w/ remote (9-10), manual, power cord, and ships in original factory box. Buyer to install the faceplate and cover if desired but both flaws are only visible when viewed from top. Fairly simple w/ phillips and allen wrench. Non-smoking environment! Paypal adds additional 3%. This unit is priced well below what other 5 SE's have listed for to enable an audiophile to buy a reference pre-amp. Please no low ball offers!
