Audio Research VT50 tube amp - natural faceplate w. original boxes, manual

Offered here is a pristine example of Audio Research's "little" powerhouse, the VT-50.  This has been one of the ten amps I've used with my small fetishistic collection of Quad ESL-57's.   The amp has been used sparingly.

Cosmetically, the amp could pass for new.  Not a mark or a spec of dust anywhere.  I operate all my tube amps without covers/cages, etc so this is why the cover screws are pictured in a bag.

Operationally, this is one of the most satisfying amps I've used on the Quad-57's (possible only due to the no-longer common 16-Ohm taps).  The tubes are Audio Research-purchased Winged C's and Sovtek 6922's (with the green "PASS" dot on the bottom, and not rejects, as offered on eBay).  Biasing is exceptionally easy.

I have all the accessories for the amp, down to the very necessary original foam cradle for shipping the tubes, the power chord (never used), manual, ancillary documentation and double shipping boxes with all the required inserts.

If you've wanted to try an Audio Research amp without breaking the bank, this is the amp for you.  The 16-Ohm speaker taps are a great bonus.
