excellent performing line stage pre-amp by VAC (Kevin Hayes).
This unit was upgraded by VAC to "signature" with modest updates to caps, wiring and circuit tweaks to raise the performance bar even higher.

It' has been an EXCELLENT all around performer in my various systems. I used it primarily with VAC PA160MKII Mono amps but also with a McIntosh MC225, Musical Fidelity X-A200 Mono amps, and with my Audire Otez stereo amp.
The upgrade bug bit and I acquired a new ( to me) Tube preamp . The VAC Pre in in excellent working condition, sonically as amazing as the day I bought it ( second owner). and has some minor blemishes, wear around the volume knob etc.
This unit has unseated several other tube preamps I've owned from CARY, BAT, Conrad Johnson, Primluna, and others. they were all great units, I just thought the VAC was just a better fit in my system.

the unit will packed to withstand "rough handling by ups" - Primary barrier protection is 1" thick insulation foam ( all sides bottom and top) I don't use packing peanuts outside of filling gaps, if ever.
