Price when new: $3,495 + $1,450 (C1 Capacitor Upgrade) = $4,945. See "Vintage Products" and "Capacitor Upgrades" on Conrad Johnson website. C1 Capacitor Upgrade was an astounding improvement! A faithful companion on my journey from: PV10A to PV12 to Premier 16 series 2 to ART series 3 preamplifier. Recently displaced by SET amp. "Winged C" 6550s are said to be the best made in three decades.
All tubes tested by Vintage Tube Services, with pin polishing. Follow "Adjusting Output Tube Bias" in manual for initial set up. Plastic screwdriver included. Silicone rubber rings included for input tubes. Box includes original packaging materials. See picture of left side for barely visible scratch. Available for shipment on Friday, 8 Dec.
