Wyetech Labs Topaz 211A / 211C SE tube amplifier 18 watts per channel

This is a single-ended amp using a pair of 211A tubes. Specs and features available at the Wyetech Labs website - too numerous and detailed to be presented here.
I am the second owner and the serial number is 50. The Topaz is hand built by the Designer, Roger Hebert. It is massively over-spec'd and built with the highest quality components. This unit features the new, custom wound double C core Bartolluci output transformers.
I have also upgraded to a new phase splitter module that plugs right into the octal socket of the (former) 6BX7 tube at a cost of $400. The unit's exterior is truly like new.


The Topaz drives difficult loads like QUAD ESL-63s with dynamics, plenty of bass and an almost magical, shimmering cymbals. Completely usable with dynamic speakers, horns and single drivers but not Maggie's, sorry. The 18 watt output is spec'd for 40 watts peak per channel. The output transformers can be switched from 8 ohms to 4 ohms at the flip of a top mounted pair of switches.


Included: a pair of stock Valve Art 211A tubes with plenty of life; a huge 'special' power cord; the front end upgrade module in red plexi ; a vintage Red Bank 6SN7 selected by ear; and a Hi-Fi tuning fuse. Never any trips back to the factory for repairs or adjustments.
This unit, packed in the factory carton, weighs 125 lbs. For a short time I can offer 40% discounted UPS shipping in Canada and the United States.
