Scott 310D FM Broadcast Monitor mono tube tuner and Pilot Model 200 Multiplexer unit. Magic FM from Foster Blair and Mike Zuccaro. The Scott tuner is in excellent cosmetic condition and works perfectly. It was purchased from Foster Blair in Virginia, the Yoda of all things Scott. The Pilot 200 multiplex unit is truly perfect. From the looks of the AC plug and the tubes, it was never plugged into the console where it was found. Storage in the cabinet kept the cosmetics factory fresh. The front face of the Scott has a few marks and scratches, but the dial has no cracks, the faceplate edges are perfect and the cabinet looks new. The unit has all four feet and the chassis is very clean. Overall visual presentation is excellent. The photos tell the story and more of both the units can be emailed upon request. Even though the Pilot appeared unused, I sent it to Mike Zuccaro in San Diego to have the can capacitor reformed and to have the alignment checked. Upon return, the FM Stereo sound is rich and full. Four Sonicap Gen I capacitors replaced the four large .1 uF caps, that and Mike’s wonderful alignment resulted in a transparent sound, gobs of detail and a wide soundstage. The best FM I have experienced. The Pilot contains 4 tubes, including a Amperex, made in Hollard 6X4 rectifier tube, two Amperex, made in France 12AT7 tubes, and a Sylvania, labeled Conn 12AU7. The four tubes test as new, really, three are the original Pilot labeled. I replaced the original 12AU7 Tungsram with an NOS Sylvania that sounds great in my headphone amp, I wanted a detailed tube in that position. This switch was made prior to Mike’s adjustments. The Scott tuner has one switched AC outlet on the rear of the chassis which works perfectly with the Pilot multiplexer. Now on/off for both units is controlled by the power switch on the front of the tuner. For connections I am including a four foot LC-1 cable and three gold plated right angle RCA connectors from Blue Jean Cable. One connector is used on the vertical RCA jack on the deck of the tuner to avoid strain on the RCA cable, and the other two can be used on the multiplex unit to aid in placement. Listed price for both pieces is $500, and they will not be separated. Shipping and any Paypal fees are the responsibility of the buyer. I plan to ship in two boxes, this will insure a safe arrival for the new owner. Check out my perfect feedback and buy with confidence.
