Acoustic Research-THE AR Turntable

This is THE AR Turntable. This carefully cared for, and great sounding manual turntable was  purchased new in 1984. It includes a Sumiko S-shaped tonearm, and a used Grace F9E Ruby MM cartridge (an NOS F9L (L, not the E Ruby-costs +$1200 -A retip Ruby stylus is available on Sound Smith).  Both were purchased with the turntable. (you could put a new stylus on the cartridge and probably sell that for $900 Original box is included.) The turntable is in excellent shape for a 33 year old device. The cover is included  no major scratches. There is a (3/4”x1/4”) damaged area on the arm plinth where I had an automated arm “lift” installed. The foam pad is missing for the factory lifting-device as it dried up.  Most of the wood is near perfect. See the photos. There’s a little chipped wood on both back vertical edges where the veneer dried out. No box or manual. The turntable was in dry, safe storage for about eight years during its tenure.  I WILL ENTERTAIN OFFERS ON CART or TABLE AS SEPARATE ITEMS.
