Listing is for a Clearaudio Concept Wood with Upgraded Carbon Satisfy Arm, Without Cartridge.

Bought this table from Brian Berdan at Audio Element in Pasadena six months ago.  This table has the upgraded Carbon Satisfy Arm which adds even more refinement of soundstage depth/width as well as musical detail.  The pairing of this table with the Sumiko Blackbird is stunning and comparable to the VPI Prime with the same cartridge.  I used this with the VTL TP2.5 Series II phono stage II and the combination worked extremely well.  It gave me that "you are there" musical experience on many recordings, especially Jazz.  Many prefer Clearaudio to the VPI,  due to their simplicity of the design, useability and customer support.  This and the fantastic sound sold me on the table.  Please call me if you have any questions.

Clearaudio Concept Wood turntable furthers the sonic excellence of the company's award-winning Concept turntable. Concept Wood uses a baltic birch, constrained layer plinth that is both visually attractive and sonically rich and smooth. The aluminum machined sub-platter and rear-mounted fine speed adjustments are an upgrade from the original Concept. This 'table is also equipped with the Satisfy Black tonearm, featuring a 3-point mechanical bearing, magnetic anti-skate, and hard-wired tonearm cable. You can upgrade to the Satisfy Carbon Fiber tonearm for enhanced musicality and imaging. A high-quality, premounted Clearaudio moving-magnet cartridge completes this setup.

High-Tech Engineering, Three-Speed Capability at Turn of a Dial
Concept Wood is belt-driven by a low-noise, decoupled DC motor built into the baltic birch plinth. The platter is made of 30mm-thick polymer (POM), an engineering thermoplastic with a weighted rim for increased fly-wheel effect, providing greater speed stability. Concept Wood plays at three speeds (33RPM, 45RPM, and 78RPM) electable by an Electronic Speed Control knob.
