This beautiful one-off fire-red turntable was a pet project hand-assembled with great care at VPI HQ by an analog guru that knows what he’s doing. HRX feet, JMW-10 aluminum tonearm, deep custom platter and an upgraded 300 rpm motor are some of the enhancements to this "cherry" table. Included in the deal is a custom made MyAudioShield clear acrylic plinth cover and a clear Gingko Audio Cloud vibration control platform ("handballs" the shelf floats on are not included). These two items total north of $500 when purchased new. Note: cartridge is NOT included in this sale. Will pack and ship in original carton and packing materials. Manual included. | FYI: This is not a one-off. About 25 dealers where at a meeting at VPI and assembled the exact turntable from parts to get an idea what the process is. VPI then offered the dealers the option to purchase their one-ff. I have one and several, probably many of the dealers ended up with the one they assembled. VPI did check them before they shipped them to the participants. Right you are. I did not realize the entire class made the exact same turntable. You are correct sir however Audiogon will not let me edit the description now that there are offers on the unit. |
