Dual 1229Q Turntable with Shure V-15 Type III Cartridge!     
This is a vintage fully-automatic Dual 1229Q turntable in very nice cosmetic and operational condition with rare and highly sought-after Shure V-15 Type III cartridge.  This is THE quintessential cartridge for this table and commonly sells for $300+ by itself (if you can find one).       
The turntable is in very nice condition and operates as it should.  I had it cleaned and lubricated by Bill Neuman at Fix-My-Dual a few years ago.  Bill is a Dual expert and the go-to guy for Dual service.  In the case of my table it was already in beautiful condition so the cleaning and lubrication service brought it back to perfect condition.  After servicing, I used the table sparingly for a few months then stored it.  (I purchased a VPI so I didn't need the Dual anymore).       
There are a couple of minor issues with the table that I am aware of as follows:      1.  There is an audible electronic "pop" when the table powers on/off.  This is common with turntables and may be remedied with different cables or grounding.  Not sure.     2.  The strobe sometimes doesn't light up right away.  It works, but sometimes takes a few seconds to maybe a minute before lighting up.  Not sure why.  Probably an easy fix.          
If you are familiar with Dual turntables, you know they are famous for precision German engineering and lasting durability.  You can expect to get many years of use out of this table.
The United Audio plinth is in very nice cosmetic condition and structurally sound.  The dust cover is virtually mint, and free of the cracks commonly seen in the rear corners.       
The Shure V-15 Type III cartridge is in excellent condition and will also perform flawlessly for many years to come.  The installed stylus has very few hours on it and lots of life remaining.  A variety of Styli are readily available for this cartridge are easily replaced in seconds without removing the cartridge from the tonearm.         
Also included are the original boxes, manuals/documentation, and warranty card.  How cool is that!       
Additionally, I'm including a custom padded fabric dust cover than protects the entire table from dust when not in use.  Nice!  (cost me $100)       
If you ever wanted to own a vintage Dual, you can't go wrong with this set up.
