Schedule No. 51400/1 (grease bearing), Serial No. 25454 (1957-8 production), in custom SMD/Classic Turntable Co., Ltd. (England) granite plinth. Presently fitted with a new (April '16), SME 310S (custom ordered in silver) with spare headshell and Ortofon Jubilee cartridge with fewer than 100 hours. The second 'arm, a Decca London ffss Mk I with White Dot mono LP pick-up (matching numbers) was fitted from new by the former original owner and has been rebuilt in '15 by John Wright (Decca Service Agent) in England and has fewer than 50 hours use, and a Decca Green Dot 78 RPM pick-up, rebuilt by J. Wright 4/16 with 3 hours. The Decca stylus cleaner brush is included, as are the N.O.S. Watts Dust-Bug and Ortofon spirit level. The 310S comes with all original packaging, tools, accessories and paperwork from USA SME Importer/Distributor, Acoustic Sounds. An original hard cover Manual for the "Model 301 Transcription Motor" from the period is included. 

The 301 is in excellent original unrestored condition, only rubber motor suspension bushings replaced (originals included). Also included is the birch plywood motor board, Garrard suspension and cabinet board (from the original custom Danish made Teak enclosure, now sadly gone). Buyer will receive full history and provenance of this spectacular looking and sounding record player.
