Up for grabs is a rare Oracle Alexandria turntable from the 80's -90's.
It has a floating platter/tonearm suspended by 3 springs which are accessible through the silver machined knobs on the plinth. The RPMs are adjustable electronically via buttons also no the plinth and there is a fine pitch adjustment knob on the underside of the table. There are 3 adjustable spikes supporting the cabinet but they are dull enough so they won't ruin your furniture.
The cartridge is a Grado and is in very good shape. Im unsure of the exact mode but it's moving magnet. If you desire a new cartridge I can order and calibrate any model you desire from ClearAudio or Sumiko. Just email or call for a new price.
The acrylic cover is in very nice shape although it has your typical surface scratches or scuffs. There are no cracks or broken pieces at all and it looks very presentable.
The original bubble level was lost so I've replaced it with a close match.
On the back your find surprisingly high quality gold plated connectors which will allow you to use any cable you'd like. Ive upgraded the power supply to a unit with higher power reserves and better filtering.
The tonearm looks to be from Audio Technica but I'm not that sure. It does have all the necessary adjustments for antiskate and tracking force.
The belt was replaced for many years of reliable service.
The record clamp is the usual Oracle high quality aluminum version which looks very impressive and the threads will ensure the record is securely clamped down.
The wood cabinet is in very nice shape and Im sure the new owners will be pleased with the overall presentation as it is very impressive.
I dont have the original box but it will be professional packaged for safe arrival. The platter and accessories will be separately packaged in a single box. If your unfamiliar with the setup of a turntable I can help on the phone or via facetime when it arrives. Ive done this a bunch of times with great success.
Available for audition or pickup in my home listening room in Ridgewood, NJ or pickup in my office in Union Square NYC.
