I purchased this turntable in March 2017 from an authorized dealer - Park Ave Audio- in NYC. I am the first and only owner. The Apheta 2 IS included. This was recently re-tipped by Andy at The Needle Clinic and sounds better than before. I've barely used it, less than 20 hours. It is perfect other than a loose stylus guard, which does not affect playback. The apheta 2 alone goes for $1895, so this is a killer deal!
This is Rega's top turntable model and sounds marvelous! I haven't been listening to vinyl as much as I used to and want to finance another purchase, so I'm letting this go. My loss is your gain.
Regarding shipping: I have removed the counter weight, secured the tonearm with tape near the base, and inserted a cardboard spacer beneath inner platter to prevent bounce on the bearing. The ceramic platter is secured within a box and will not break or damage other parts. The Apheta 2 is screwed onto a plastic lid of a small container, so it is suspended from the case and will transport safely. My offer to drive this still stands, and local pick-up is as always preferred.
I am not in a rush to sell this as I do really enjoy this turntable and will not entertain prices far below the asking price ~ low ball offers will be politely declined.

| What cartridge did you get to pair with the RP10? Is it a m/c? I used the Rega Apheta 2 which is an MC cartridge and it sounds amazing. I also sometimes use a Ortofon 2M Blue which the RP10 pretty much maxes out. Whichever cartridge you use, the Rega RP10 will make it sing. |
