Tyler Linbrook Floorstanding Reference Monitors

This is a beautiful pair or Tyler Acoustics speakers with the wonderful Seas magnesium 7” midbass/woofer and the Seas Millenium tweeter. Front ported design with grills and solid brass spikes included. These are in an upgraded finish – bubinga, I believe.

I am the second owner. I’ve had these about 2 years, with them sitting in storage in my climate-controlled basement for the past year, not in use. I have kept them for use in a second system that is not going to materialize. I would rather pass them to a new owner than have them sit longer. They are in very good condition, but there is a minor scuff or two on the rear edges only and the veneer/finish is not perfect. There is noticeable checking to the veneer which you can feel if you rub your hands along the surface (this has been noted by Tyler owners in the past, which you can discover upon research here and other places). This does not affect performance at all. The most noticeable spot of checking showing in the veneer is under the grill on one speaker (this is shown in a closeup on one of the pictures).

I am rating these a 7 out of 10.
These speakers have incredibly precise, detailed sound, which is no surprise given the drivers employed. The drivers alone would cost about $500 per speaker if you were going to build these yourself. The cabinets are very strong and well built. Each speaker weighs approximately 55 lbs, with dimensions at 40x9x10. They are relatively slim and easy to place, and front porting makes this even easier. Pair these with a good subwoofer and you’ve got very capable sound reproducers.

I have the original boxes AND packing material. Boxed they measure 15x16.5x48” and weigh 70 lbs each. I will ship UPS or FedEx (buyer’s preference) but local pickup is also welcome. I am in Rochester, NY. I will accept Paypal at no extra charge, or a USPS money order. Cash only if picked up.
