Valvet E-1 Single Ended Class A Monoblocs

I got these from a dealer in a trade recently.They were demos with very light hours on them. Still under warranty. They put out a very robust 10 watts per side and sound magnificent,as you would expect from a single ended design...From the website:

Pure performance.
These little monoblocks deliver 10 watts into 8 Ohms. At first glance this appears to be a bit stingy, but rest assured that these amplifiers are quite cable of delivering the goods even when connected to speakers with 89 dB efficiency.

Pure music!
The power amplifiers operate in Single-Ended- Class-A mode, with only one transistor in the output stage. We believe that the common practice to employ several transistors in parallel required to produce a higher output is detrimental to the sound quality.

For those interested in technical details: ultra-stabile power supply (80 VA torodial transformer; >20000 µF filtering with 8 high-grade capacitors), extremely short signal paths.
