VTL Super Deluxe Great Peramp

Here we have a VTL Super Deluxe preamplifier for sale. Check out the pictures...I have only seen pictures of one other unit and it did not have a seperate power supply, much less a dual mono pwer supply. I am rating this a 7/10 as there are some scratches on the top cover plate. The front is in excellent condition. This is a full function preamp with both MM and MC phono capabilities via dip switches (also sets loading for MC)on the rear. It is currently set for MM mode. It comes with the stock tubes including 2 GE, 2 chinese, and 4 Ei silver bullets in the phono stage. The Ei and chinese tubes are painted with VTL logos. I am including extension phono cables (Signal Cable Silver Resolution) due to the distance between the inputs on the back plate, and a Welbourne power cable. Enough of the crap. How does it sound? In a word - wonderful. Very expansive, like a VTL Ultimate from the same period. Excellent seperation, silghtly warm, and very clear and clean. I only used the MM phono and it is excellent. So stop looking at modern preamps made in China, or overpriced US products. Here is a chance to get a unique classic that easily sounds better than a Quicksilver Full Function, Conrad Johnson, Rogue, Ding Dong, Wing Ding, or other imported piece of future junk.
