WILSON AUDIO WATT 5's - Black Hardware - RARE OPPORTUNITY - EXCELLENT !

This is a rare opportunity to acquire a pair of the legendary Wilson Audio WATT 5's (no Puppies) in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition. Very rarely do a pair of (only) WATT's become available for sale! When one considers the typical purchase price for WATT/Puppy 5's at usually $5K to $6K for a GOOD pair, the WATT's by themselves make a very solid argument for a truly world-class speaker system at a budget price. Even a pair of CUB 1's would cost more than the asking price and don't even come close to what the WATT system can do. These are easily driven by very low powered amps and will make magic happen with low powered tube amps, especially OTL amps. They've been gently driven with Cello Encore 50 watt mono amps with spectacular results. The drivers are in excellent condition both cosmetically and mechanically (very important as these are the expensive parts) and the entire front diffraction pads have just been replaced on both speakers (a VERY laborious, time consuming and difficult procedure). A full polishing with light compound and a complete wax and buff with Meguiars Gold Class Carnuba complete the extensive cosmetic overhaul and do the new diffraction pads justice. These speakers will not disappoint on any level. The ports and handles are black and they come with both sets of ports (for solid state & tube amps), the original foam cell grills (in excellent condition) and the original Wilson Owner's Manual for the WATT V. As an added bonus and one that really enhances the cosmetic appearance of these incredible loudspeakers, the diffraction pads were purchased with NO UGLY VELCRO. So, the fronts are nice and clean cosmetically ensuring they're a treat for both the eyes as well as the ears. They will ship in their original Wilson crates with all the original bags and packing. They will be wrapped with multiple heavy-duty Saran Wrap ensuring they arrive at their new owner's home in the same condition as when they left. These WATT's come from a clean, non-smoking, child free environment free from any fingerprints, pet odors or hair. Please note: there are several very tiny areas that were touched-up at some point but no major scratches can be found on their cabinets. They are in exceptional condition, especially considering their age and have been very conservatively rated a 7 due to their age. Serial numbers are 5705 & 5706. Unlike WP's these will ship UPS Ground so freight will not be a fortune and no lift-gate service is required. UPS Ground will most likely be $80-$100, depending on the destination city from Central Coast California.
