Yamaha NS-1000 Ebony Nearfield Monitor

This is a very fine condition pair of the original ebony Yamaha NS-1000 nearfield monitors.
I have rated these 7/10 conservatively. The grilles are without pulls, rips, or holes and the metal frames are in excellent condition with badges included. All of the drivers are in perfect condition and perfect working order. All of the beryllium domes are without dust deposits, have undented metal protective grilles. The speakers were wall mounted at one point and have screw holes in the back panel that have been filled with black wood putty for a good cosmetic result and a perfect acoustic seal. The main reason that these have been rated at 7/10 is that there are several small dings along the top front of one speaker. Otherwise, the condition of the ebony veneer is excellent and these speakers present very well. On sound tests they are spectacular and with a good tube amp they communicate the sublest and most musical details on par with the best speakers I have heard.
Shipping these is an issue as they are #90 each and delicate. I can deliver them anywhere along the I-5 corridor on the west coast for the cost of gas from Canada to Mexico. Otherwise, the shipping and packaging are to be arranged by the buyer.
