YAQIN MS-12B Tube Pre-Amp and Phono Stage

I am offering my improved Yaqin MS-12B Tube Pre-Amp and Phono Stage. I bought the unit new from an authorized Canadian dealer in October of 2010. My intent was to explore the possibility of switching to a Tube Pre-Amp in my main system, or staying solid state. I then wanted to see if a cap upgrade would improve the overall sound, so in August of 2012 I had 8 caps in the audio section replaced with Audio Cap Theata's. There was a noticeable improvement in the soundstage and dynamics, including better bass detail and less rolled off highs. The experiment was a success, and I have ordered a much more expensive tube pre-amp to replace the Yaqin. The Yaqin Phono Section is suited for a MM or HOMC cartridge. I replaced the stock Chinese tubes with improved Tung-Sol 12AX7 in the Phono Section and 12AU7A RCA Clear Tops in the Pre-Amp section. Both tube upgrades have added detail and air while keeping a black back ground. I will conservatively rate the unit a 7/10 for appearance and a 10/10 for function. I will be shipping the unit in its original box with foam inserts along with the power cord, owners manual and tube shields. Thanks for looking.
