Upgraded with Jantzen Z Superior Copper capacitors, Sylvania 6350 Black plate Kuhl tube (cryo'd and handpicked), GE 5751 Black plate Pearl (cryo'd and handpicked), Synergistic fuse, Herbie's Tube Dampers, Gold knob upgrade purchased from Joule Electra.
Replacement of stock Rel Cap Multicap PPMFX with Jantzens were major upgrade, every parameter of sound quality improved. These particular Rel Caps were not even Rel Caps best cap back in the day, warm and unfocused would describe best describe them. The Jantzens particularly exceed the PPMFX in resolution, therefore, larger soundstage and more dimensional imaging, transparency, dynamics also greatly improved.
Condition conservatively rated as 7, cap change necessitated some circuit board mounting changes, otherwise an 8. Extremely reliable, no functional issues, many hundreds of listening hours since upgrades. Haven't found original box yet, will be carefully packaged regardless.
