Selling a reconditioned pair of mono amplifiers. The Conn 6026 amplifiers utilize a pair of 6L6 power tubes in push-pull configuration with a 7199 driver tube for each amplifier. They sound excellent from bottom end (solid bass foundation) to top end (slightly rolled off). No brightness, just a decent extension. Of course, their mid-range gives you that all too familiar liquidity that usually only tubes can deliver.
I have owned the Dynaco ST-70, and the Dynaco Mk. IV amplifiers both running 6CA7 (EL-34) tubes. I have also owned the HH Scott Model 208 utilizing the 7591 power tubes. I personally prefer the sound that the 6L6 (7027A mil grade) power tubes deliver. They have better bass and mid-range in my opinion. The top end of the spectrum is as good as the 6CA7 offers. Yes, I do have a preference for vintage tube amps. The transformers made in the golden age of audio was just manufactured better. I generally prefer tubes over solid state in most cases but, not all.

The current tube compliment being used is the newly manufactured Sovtek 6L6WXT+ power tubes (matched pairs in each amp), and the driver tubes are a GE branded 7199 (vintage tube) and a Hammond branded 7199 (vintage tube). I have not done any tube rolling since the sound being created did not warrant any fiddling with trying different tube combinations.
The amplifiers are being offered and sold with a 12-month warranty on the electronic components and 90-day warranty on the tubes.
