EAR (Esoteric Audio Research) 890

This listing is for one EAR 890 stereo amps that was purchased from the mastering engineer of Mobile Fidelity. The serial number is 010412 reflect. All tubes tested as new with KT-90s as originally sold by Dan Meinwald. It apparently has low hours on it. The expected life span of these tubes is 2000+ hours. Current price to replace all 12 tubes is $800+.

I know that I rated it at an 8. The chrome plating and tube cages are in perfect condition, no checking or corrosion EXCEPT for the front face which has very fine scratches (photo below really overdoes it-maybe buffed out) that I could not even show in a photo and would require looking very closely to it (under 5"). Looks unblemished from one foot back. A 9 but for the front plate. It had one tube input socket that required tightening so all of them were tightened by Rubicon Electronics a few months ago and checked out perfectly. It is missing the two volume knobs (as I purchased it) that cover the volume switches. Fully functional as is.
