This was my (Jim Hagerman) personal unit for the past 12 years, and it has a few upgrades, tweaks, and modifications (better capacitors, dual inputs). It is essentially serial #1 for the CASTANET / HA-10 headphone amplifier series. This fabulous circuit uses a 6H30 tube and easily drives 32 ohm impedance cans. Not a lot of gain, so planars do not get super loud. Tube damper included. Yesterday I re-painted the chassis as the previous color was lame.
I have replaced it in my system with a new TUBA headphone amplifier, also serial #1, which is why it is for sale.
This unit works perfectly and has decades of service left in it. 120VAC only!
