VTL MB450 Signature Monoblock Amps

Original owner selling my longtime reference MB450 amps equipped with Cryogenicly treated Genelex KT88 tubes. They have provided me 18 years of reliable service with having only to replace the power switches on each amp and 3 sets of vacuum tubes during this time (original 6550’s eventually replaced with KT88’s). They are still going strong, the only reason I’m selling is that I just recently took the plunge and bought a pair of MB450 series III version. I have all original boxes, manuals, spare fuses and power cords. I conservatively rate the condition of the amps as 7/10 due to the top inside edge of each faceplate have some scratches (see photos) which were there when purchased as show room models from dealer and speaker posts now show some marring.

The amps are extremely musical, powerful bass punch, sweet top end, detailed and a huge soundstage. Last year a friend of mine insisted I compare his custom (current Stereophile Class A) solid-state amps on my system vs my amps. He was stunned and disappointed in the results, these classic MB450 beauties outperformed his amps in every category including bass punch, texture, soundstage, dimensionality, etc. VTL simply makes great products and this is an opportunity to buy a well taken care of pair from the original owner.
