1 pair of Magnepan (Magneplanar) MG12 QR Speakers for sale. Modified with Clarity ESA capacitors and
Bridgeport Magnetics Goertz 99.99% pure copper inductors with 2 ½ %
calibration. Voltage rating of all components are higher than originals.
The ‘QR’ refers to quasi-ribbon technology that improves high frequency bandwidth and power handling capacity. OFC interconnects and 4% silver solder used
in point-to-point wiring. Solid wooden
bases improves bass response.
Purchased new and have been my personal speakers in clean
smoke free home.
The upgraded audio improves soundstage, depth, and
clarity and when properly placed they will ‘float’ the high frequency audio
into the room. They are somewhat sensitive to room placement and perform best
with a high current amplifier.
Also included is a professionally re-coned Boston Acoustics
VR 500 sub-woofer with less than five hours on it.
