This is a rare opportunity to pick up some almost new Synergistic Research power cords. SR cables are made in the US. They are strikingly beautiful and high tech looking, photos do not do them justice. They are also strikingly large and heavy when you pick one up. The active shielding is something that those who have it in their systems say they cannot be without. There are a lot of cable companies out there which basically just assemble cables from various materials. SR is not like that, their CEO is a true inventor who keeps coming up with brilliant new ways of making our systems sound better. I cannot really explain what all their products do or how and why they work as they do, but I've definitely heard enough to know that they go way beyond what other cable companies are doing.

I originally sold these power cords in 2012 to a good customer of mine who has one of the nicest 2-channel setups among all my customers. His system includes the famed $100,000 Walker turntable, Lamm amps driving Genesis 201 speakers augmented at the low end by JL Audio F212 subwoofers. This sweet system is housed in a dedicated listening building at his home and he cares for all of his gear meticulously. No smoking, no kids, no pets. I unpacked one of these cables to photograph it yesterday and it was just like new with every piece of plastic wrapping in place and everything in great shape. You can rest assured that these cords will all work just as well as new, and they have been broken in for you so maybe it is even fair to say better than new. We give the rating as a 9 only because we do not rate anything used as a 10 in accordance with the Audiogon Grading Scale.

The owner is only selling these cables to upgrade within the Synergistic Research line. I actually became a Synergistic dealer at his urging a year ago and I went and had their demo at CES and was absolutely blown away by the Tranquility Bases. They did a demo with a beautiful system using top of the line YG Acoustics speakers where they powered the Tranquility Base on and off. The difference in the sound was so amazing, no other demo of audiophile products that I have heard have influenced system sound as much as the Tranquility bases. I still cannot understand WHY they work, they boggle my mind. But they definitely do work. I had to buy one for myself as soon as the show ended and I would love to have all my gear on them like the owner of these power cords does.

My 11 year old son was with me at CES and this was one of the things that impressed him most in the 4 day show, that a Base that a component sits on could make such a change in the audio from the whole system! When we were in the YG Acoustics room, they were demoing the same speakers and one of their guys was asking me to become a dealer for YG. He asked my son how he like the sound and he said that he liked it but that the gentleman should go and hear the same YG speakers in the Synergistic suite because they sounded much better in there! I actually think that Synergistic had less expensive gear in their setup, and a smaller suite. But definitely they made the speakers sound better with their technology. I talked to 2 other guys who heard both rooms and agreed with me and my son on that. It's often hard to hear the differences between systems, especially between electronics and cables, at a show like CES. The rooms have poor acoustics and there are so many factors that influence the sound. But the Synergistic demo very clearly showed that their technology works and makes a very large and immediate difference. But I digress. As you can tell I love this stuff and I could talk all day about it, but my wife wants me to finish my text so she can list these power cords already!

We will be selling 4 of the 5-footers, 2 of the 6-footers and 1 8-foot cord, so 7 power cords in total, all for 40% off. I do not expect these to last long. If you want to make me an offer to buy them all, please feel free to do so if and only if you have the money "in hand" and are ready to pay if your offer is accepted. The reason I have disabled the "Buy it Now" feature for each listing is that I do want to make it possible for one person to buy all or most of the cables because I know how hard it can be to put together a matched set. That being said, if you offer the asking price for one or more cables then I will respond within 24 hours (probably a lot less) and invoice you for the cable or cables. I will sell them first come, first served with the exception that I will give preference to a buyer who wants to take them all. If no buyer takes them all, I will just go in chronological order of the offers received. The price on these cables is firm, please don't bother to lowball me. The only reason we have set it to allow people to make offers is as stated above, to let someone buy them all. That does not mean we're going to sell the cables below the asking price and I will not respond to any low offers. I don't own them, I am selling them for a customer who is a very successful gentleman. I would have to take any offers to him and I am not going to go him with anybody's sad story about how he is low on funds and he needs a discount on a Tesla Power Cord. These are a luxury purchase, you don't need this to survive. If you can afford them and you want them, great, let's do business. If you can't afford them or don't want them I thank you for looking at my ad and I hope perhaps I will have an item that is suited to you at another time.

I do have some restrictions what I can sell because of the manufacturer rules about online sales and so on, but I do my best to help. I can arrange to have the gear picked up from your home or office, or in some cases I can even have someone come in and pack it for you, then my staff will handle all the testing, photography, sales of the item and follow up after the sale. Since many people prefer to buy from a dealer and because we have 10 years of perfect feedback on Audiogon and Ebay with no neutrals or negatives ever we can usually get more for your items than you could get yourself. Depending on the exact item, you may net as much or even slightly more having us sell it. And once you factor in the value of your time, it's a clear savings to let us sell the gear for you. These cables are all in like new condition. Rating of 9 is only due to the fact they have been used so we don't rate anything that has been used at a 10. Other than the price, I am sure you will not find any difference between these and new. Boxes are included and in great shape, items will be double boxed and fully insured for shipment.

As you can see in the photos, the system these come out of has Tranquility Bases under many of the components. He's actually added more since these pictures were taken. And virtually all his cabling is Synergistic Research active cabling like these. It may look funny to some that he just cuts little blocks of wood to elevate his cables rather than buying some fancy store bought system. But I like it. The owner definitely is very successful and could buy whatever gear he wants, but he is very thoughtful and spends his money carefully and wisely, prioritizing those upgrades that will give the best bang for the buck and shopping with High End Zone. He recently bought the Transporter which is a very handy new Synergistic item that replaces the MPC's, the "wall warts" or power blocks that power the shields on the active cables. The Transporter is a terrific investment in tidying up your system (as well as saving electricity) and I would recommend the Transporter to anyone before you go down the road of upgrading all the MPC's to Galileo.

The owner has been gradually adding more and more Synergistic technologies to his system for 2 years now. You can see some of them in the photos below. Every time he adds something, he notices a substantial overall upgrade in the sound and that is why he keep coming back for more. I'm glad to be his dealer and wish that I had more of the 2-channel business. When I started my company, we were all 2-channel, I had a home theater for myself but it was not part of the business. Over the years, home theater has come to pay almost all the bills. I love 2 channel and the focus on music and I kind of live vicariously through my client's systems. I may never be able to afford a Walker table for myself, and with my son having his young friends over and roughhousing I would need a dedicated building to put it in...

"The TESLA SE T2 is an Active version of our TESLA SE T1 Power Cord, and offers significant improvements in sound stage air, layering, detail, and low frequency control and extension. Active Shielding decreases the noise floor for a blacker background. Fine inner detail and micro transients are greatly improved, along with overall smoothness and musicality. The T2 is a personal favorite of our lead designer, Ted Denney, as a pre amp power cord, and is used in our reference system along with TESLA SE Hologram A and TESLA SE Hologram D Power Cords. As always, system synergy is the goal, not merely purchasing the most expensive cable you can afford. As a power cord for video, the Active Shielded TESLA SE T2 presents a lower noise floor for cleaner images, with lower artifact levels when compared to the non-Active TESLA SE T1.

"The TESLA SE AC Power Cord History
In part, the TESLA SE AC Power Cords are an evolutionary leap beyond the original TESLA AC Power Cords. Comparatively, the G-07 connectors significantly improve overall performance through refinement and finesse. All the TESLA SE AC Power Cords have a more relaxed and organic sound with greater details, air, wider and deeper soundstage and with sharper image focus. The G-07's also contribute a much lower noise floor and higher resolution.

The second evolution to TESLA SE AC Power Cords is actually a direct trickle-down technology from our Galileo Research Program. In the past, when voicing Active Shielding, we built dozens of Active Shielding circuit variations to integrate into different cable models, listening for the option that would complement target applications. Even when considering the fact that these circuits exist outside of the signal path (they provide resistance for the DC on the Active Shield, which is not connected to either signal or ground), they have a significant impact on the overall sound and character of Synergistic Research geometries. At the two positive extremes (there are far more circuits with negative attributes that never make the cut), one circuit may sound transparent and thrilling with air and detail for days, while another circuit has a warm transparent glow reminiscent of exceptional vacuum tube electronics. And of course, there are hybrid Active Shielding circuits that embody both extremes. In the past, we often listened for hybrid circuits that would complement a variety of applications. Now you can make these changes in your home system.

During the voicing process for Galileo System Cables and Galileo Universal Cable Cells, we envisioned an idea of making the Active Shielding circuits external, to better facilitate a quick, plug-and-play change in circuits, without having to rebuild a Cell every time we needed to experiment.

To connect the Active Shielding Modules, we have integrated an additional Active Shielding interface (much like the interface you may have used in the past when connecting an MPC). The circuits themselves are housed in a machined aluminum chassis, with a blue LED to confirm a successful Activation."

Returns due to reasons other than some deficiency on our part are subject to a 20% restocking fee. For example, If you make a deal to buy a JL f113 from us and then you decide that what you REALLY want is a Gotham g213, then we can probably work it out to make that switch for you without a restocking fee. That said, please don't buy if you're not sure that you want the item you are buying. If you need to check with your wife, your broker, your business partner, your kids, or the Supreme Court before you buy, please do that. High End Zone cannot be held responsible for any case of wives beating their husbands for spending too much money on good gear.

Please check your purchases promptly upon arrival. A client purchased speakers from us and didn't open them for 6 months, then found that some parts were missing. We are doing our best to get those parts for him at no charge from the manufacturer but it would have been a LOT easier if he'd examined them upon receipt. In general, our policy is that any flaw, damage, missing item, incorrect item, etc. must be reported to High End Zone by email no later than 3 days (72 hours) after that item is delivered. If you are not able to check the item yourself in that time frame, please make the necessary arrangements to have someone else make such a check for you in your absence.
