Up for sale a wonderful Cayin HA-1A Headphone Amplifier. This unit is in great conditions except for a couple of superficial scratches on the side panel. I suspect this thing sounds better than the newly released Mk2 version (not to mention that to me it looks a lot better). Why? The new version does not have the option to switch between triode and ultralinear. If you ever had the Cayin a50t (or a70t, a88t, a100t), you know what I mean. In triode everything sounds closer, warmer, and more precise. With ultralinear you have a better 3D image, tighter bass, and an overall sense of, so to speak, more musi' in your ears. Another difference with the new mk2 version is that the new Cayin does not use a 12ax7 tube anymore, which in this amp changes the sound a lot when replaced (try some 5751 in there and let me know what you think...).
Anyway, this thing is a true little gem, and it is now for sale. Buyer covers paypal and shipping. Please wait for my final shipping cost before paying.
Thanks.
